Where exactly are the properties you vacation rent?

La Laguna is a small oasis on the outskirts of East San Jose del Cabo along the Sea of Cortez.  The drive is approximately 15 minutes from central San Jose del Cabo to the community of El Encanto de La Laguna. The new Puerto Los Cabos marina is only 3 miles directly down the beach from “La Laguna”, this takes approximately 8 minutes by car. The “La Laguna” region is special in that it lies on the Sea of Cortez at the tip of Baja California and faces almost directly south.  El Encanto is at the end of city power and at the beginning of where the desert literally touches the Sea of Cortez. Most of Los Cabos is quite built up, this is an area where you get the best of both worlds, nature and the convenience of town nearby.

Are there safe swimming beaches?

Directly in front of the “La Laguna” region the beaches can be both safe and swimmable by most standards or fairly dangerous.  The seasons bring change to the Sea of Cortez and the late Spring through early Fall are the most rough. It is recommended to take added precaution when swimming no matter what time of year or where you are due to no lifeguards. From November through March the Sea of Cortez is generally calm. The destination adviser can assist you in finding good snorkeling and swimming beaches nearby.

Some U.S. carriers have specific plans for use in Mexico and some carriers will ask you to update your roaming capabilities before leaving the U.S.  Typically when you are in Mexico and want to dial a local Mexican # from your U.S. Cell phone you will need to dial 044 624 and then the #.
