Corporate and International Business Development Executive

Job Description:   As the Corporate and International Business Development Manager, you will be a vital force in expanding Lalaguna Villas’ corporate clientele and international presence. In addition to representing the resort at international dive and travel exhibitions, you will focus on targeting the Manila corporate sector for team-building activities and corporate incentive events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Partnerships: Develop and nurture relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and industry partners, fostering business growth and collaboration.
  • International Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding the resort’s presence in key international markets, with a focus on the travel and dive industry.
  • Exhibition Representation: Showcase Lalaguna Villas at international dive and travel exhibitions, presenting our offerings and forging strategic partnerships.
  • Manila Corporate Market: Target the Manila corporate business sector to promote Lalaguna Villas as the ideal destination for team-building events and corporate incentive programs.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to formulate and execute strategic plans for international business development and corporate engagement.
  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize contracts with international partners and corporate clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent real-world experience
  • Proven experience in corporate and international business development, ideally within the hospitality or travel industry.
  • Strong understanding of the dive and luxury travel market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally frequently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Multilingual skills are advantageous.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Job Description: As a CPA at our dive resort, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and implementing effective financial controls. This role requires a strong understanding of hospitality industry accounting practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
  • Provide financial forecasts based on industry trends, resort performance, and market conditions.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Conduct periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors to optimize costs and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Monitor vendor performance and adherence to contractual terms.
  • Oversee daily cash flow and liquidity management.
  • Implement strategies to optimize cash resources and minimize financial risk.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for revenue enhancement.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensure the resort’s financial practices align with legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or resort accounting is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Front Desk Officer

Job Description: Responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties, including greeting guests and offering them a beverage, answering phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and distributing mail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To check the arrivals for the next day: booking correctly entered, arrival time, special requests.
  • To daily update internal bookings.
  • To send the pre-arrival email to the guests, asking for the arrival time and offering the speedboat.
  • To get, and update check-out time.
  • To reply to emails for Contracted Rates.
  • To send booking confirmation.
  • To reply to inquiries on Facebook and Live Chat.
  • Check-in – out/Guests Orientation/Entering bookings in Oars/Updating guest details/Transfers/Activities/Update spreadsheets.
  • Facilitate guest checkout and responsible to collect the room keys.
  • To ensure that the check-in form and guest statement has been run after minibar has been recorded before presenting the bill to the guest. 
  • To scan the bills.
  • To assist the guests at the check-in time, to sell and inform about activities.
  • To update guests records: merged duplicated guest, complete guest email address, nationality, and country.
  • Refer to info-account and guest registration form.
  • Offering and managing LOAD STATION, SMART PADALA, ATM.
  • To enter bookings and inquiries in OARS.
  • To update cancellations.
  • To deal with guests requests.
  • To explain the house rules to the guests.
  • To prepare the Daily Guest transaction report.
  • To update all spreadsheets needed to be updated.
  • To forward arranged private transportation to the provider as necessary. 
  • To update transfers in OARS.
  • To prepare the check-in form for the next day.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or College Graduate, preferably with vocational training or a degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience in the same field is an advantage but not required.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, property management software, and other office software is important for managing reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and guest information.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as answering phone calls and assisting guests.
  • Capable of resolving guest issues and complaints professionally and satisfactorily.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedule and on weekends and holidays.
